Dewpoint transmitter for
demanding applications &
RUGGED BUT VERSATILE
HARDWARE
An aluminum electronics housing
provides the DMP248 with IP 65
protection from dust and sprayed
water. The cables may be ordered
in three different lengths.
The transmitters may be supplied
with or without a display/keypad.
The display shows the
measurement reading and also
functions as an user interface. A
display/keypad transmitter is easy
to use and configure with the
menu-based commands of the
built-in software.
A basic transmitter without the
display option is operated by using
three press switches inside the
cover. Both transmitter types can
be operated and configured with a
PC or a terminal through the
standard RS 232C serial bus or
optionally through the RS 485/RS
422 serial bus or a digital current
loop module.
INCREASED ACCURACY AND
STABILITY
Dewpoint readings in the range of
-60...-20 °C (at 20 °C temperature)
mean the relative humidity is very
low (0.05...4.4 %RH). Therefore it is
extremely important that the dry
end (0 %RH) of the transmitter is
very stable and correctly calibrated.
The DMP248 dewpoint transmitter
eliminates any error by means of an
auto calibration, which adjusts the
calibration curve to ensure an
accurate reading at the dry end. In
addition, auto calibration means
increased stability as the transmitter
corrects any possible dry end drifts
each time an auto calibration is
performed.
The auto calibration process takes
no more than 60 seconds and the
intervals between calibrations can
be set by the user depending upon
the operating conditions.
There are many industrial processes
that demand rugged
instrumentation for tight process
control. Instruments must be stable,
reliable and accurate while being
easy to install, operate and
maintain. The DMP248 transmitter
is the solution for moisture control
in industrial applications with low
dewpoints.
The DMP248 dewpoint transmitter
has been designed to meet the
requirements for demanding
applications where moisture
measurement is critical. Due to the
transmitters rugged design and
versatility, the DMP248 can be used
in countless applications.
